These two sides squared off in last season-s semi-finals but could not be separated in the opening match of the round. Both sides have seen their former assists promoted to the head coaching role this season but there was no winner in the first Moss v Muscat matchup as their side-s played out a 0-0 draw.

Brisbane Roar v Perth Glory
Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

Brisbane Roar extended their lead at the Hyundai A-League summit when they downed Perth Glory 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. A Besart Berisha goal proved the difference, as the Roar banked their sixth straight win at Suncorp Stadium.

Sydney FC v Newcastle Jets

It was a case of no Del Piero, no problem for Sydney FC as they overcame the loss of their captain to record a club-record fourth straight win, seeing off Newcastle 2-0 at Allianz Stadium. The Sky Blues repeating the dose they gave the Jets in the opening match of the season.

Melbourne Heart v Adelaide United

Adelaide United denied Melbourne Heart a first victory of the Hyundai A-League season in an entertaining 3-3 draw at AAMI Park to complete the round. Andrea Migliorini scored a memorable brace to ease pressure on coach John Aloisi, while the Reds were able to grab a point late on after squandering a two goal advantage.
