Generally growing up in a Greek family in the southern suburbs of Sydney, there is every chance that football will be part of your life.
That story is no different for Westfield Young Matildas Teresa Polias, who in her young career has played for no less five junior clubs as her potential was quickly recognised and she drafted into the NSW Academy and now the NSW Institute of Sport.
The 19-year-old midfielder has also been a regular in the U19 Women-s squad since 2007 and is aiming for a trip to China to play at the AFC U19 Women-s Championship.
Polias was an integral player for the Central Coast Mariners during the Westfield W-League season, playing nine of the ten games.
We find out a little more about Teresa including that she has a sister who is a professional golfer, in our feature series called ‘Get to Know You-.
