More than 2,000 football fans nominated the best players from the competition to form a Hyundai A-League All Star team – and now the verdict is in.
Nine players and one coach from teams set to go head-to-head in the Hyundai A-League Final Series presented by FOXTEL this weekend have made the fans cut.
Adelaide United-s Eugene Galekovic, Queensland Roar-s Craig Moore and Central Mariners Mile Jedinak, who all received a call up to join the Socceroos squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Asian Qualifier against Japan last night, were amongst those selected for the Hyundai A-League All Star team.
Hyundai A-League 2009 Rising Star recipient, Scott Jamieson from Adelaide United, Coach of the Year, Adelaide United-s Aurelio Vidmar together with Golden Boot, Goal of the Year and Johnny Warren Medal recipient Shane Smeltz from Wellington Phoenix were also selected by fans.
Football fans will have the chance to see many of their All Star players on the field in the second leg of the Finals Series this weekend. If you can’t head to the match, FOX Sports will broadcast every Hyundai A-League 2009 Finals Series match live and exclusive.
But the question still remains – who will play the perfect match? Will an All Star shine?
