Around the grounds, Central Coast recruit Casey Dumont is named in the Mariners squad to take on Wellington; the former Melbourne Victory star joined the Gosford side last week and will push for selection under Mariners coach Emily Husband on Saturday afternoon.
Newcastle Jets captain Cassidy Davis returns from a foot injury that stopped her incredible streak of 132 consecutive appearances since her debut. Western United midfielder Melissa Taranto returns from injury, while Matildas full-back Karly Roestbakken will push for her first minutes of the season at Melbourne City.
And after covering for injured Sydney FC captain Natalie Tobin at the AFC Women’s Club Championship, centre-back Jessica Seaman has earned a short-term contract at the Sky Blues. Incredibly, her last Liberty A-League appearance for Sydney FC came 15 years ago in January, 2009; Seaman is signed on a short-term contract at the club and could make her first appearance in Sky Blue in 5,425 days against Adelaide United on Sunday afternoon.
