Young Hyundai A-League striker Jamie Maclaren has been named in this week’s EA Sports’ FIFA Team of the Week alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and former Sydney FC marquee Marc Janko.
The Brisbane Roar striker netted the opening two goals in a 5-0 rout over Victory at Suncorp last weekend.
And he racked up his hat-trick with a trademark poachers finish three minutes from time.
Maclaren is in esteemed company, joining the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and former Sydney FC striker Marc Janko in the squad that recognises football’s best performers around the globe.
The hat-trick took Maclaren’s season tally to 17 goals from 19 appearances – a strike-rate that even surpasses City’s golden boot leader Bruno Fornaroli.
