The Westfield W-League 2017/18 draw was released on Monday with some huge fixtures scheduled to kick-start the season.

Westfield W-League: blockbuster fixtures
We’ve scoured through the fixtures and put together a guide to each club’s first four fixtures to start the new campaign.
Adelaide United
The Reds sit out the first weekend before opening their campaign away to Western Sydney Wanderers.
They then host last season’s runners-up Perth Glory before a visit to Brisbane Roar.
Brisbane Roar
Brisbane play the very first game of season ten away to Sydney FC on October 27.
They also host Perth Glory and Adelaide United in the opening month, with a trip to Western Sydney sandwiched in between.
Canberra United
Last season’s Premiers travel to Melbourne Victory on opening weekend before a weekend off in round two.
They then host Sydney FC before a visit to the Newcastle Jets.
Melbourne City
The defending champions head to nib Stadium for a rematch of last season’s Grand Final against Perth on opening weekend.
They play the first Melbourne derby of the season the following weekend before hosting the Jets and travelling to Sydney FC.
Melbourne Victory
Last season’s wooden-spooners open with a home game against Canberra United and then play the Melbourne derby the following weekend.
After a weekend off, they head west to meet Perth Glory in round four’s final fixture.
Newcastle Jets
The Jets open with back-to-back home games, hosting Western Sydney before a visit from Sydney FC.
They then play away at Melbourne City before another home clash against Canberra United.
Perth Glory
Last season’s runners-up host Melbourne City in a Grand Final rematch on opening weekend.
After that it’s visits to Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United, before a return to nib to face Melbourne Victory.
Sydney FC
The Sky Blues host the season’s first game against Brisbane Roar before a NSW derby away at Newcastle.
Following that it’s a visit to Canberra United and a home clash with Melbourne City to round out the first month.
Western Sydney Wanderers
An away clash with the Jets is followed by consecutive home games against Adelaide United Brisbane Roar.
The Wanderers sit out week four before travelling to play Melbourne Victory.
