We’ve taken a look at Opta Data for all the stats ahead of a big Round 21 in the Hyundai A-League and there’s some interesting statistical talking points for all five matches, starting with Adelaide and Central Coast tonight at Coopers…

  Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners

*Two of Joshua Rose’s three Hyundai A-League goals have been scored against Adelaide.

*Central Coast Mariners have won 10 of their last 13 Hyundai A-League meetings with Adelaide United

*Sergio Cirio has been involved in more goals than any other Adelaide player (11, scoring six and assisting five)

*Central Coast Mariners are still waiting for their first away win of the Hyundai A-League campaign (D6 L3).

  Western Sydney Wanderers FC v Melbourne Victory

*The Wanderers have lost their last three Hyundai A-League matches against Victory, conceding nine goals in the process.

*Melbourne Victory has kept just one clean sheet in eight previous matches against Wanderers, in their very first meeting back in November 2012. The Wanderers have scored exactly one goal in their last five games against Victory.

*Wanderers haven’t won any of their last four Hyundai A-League matches contested on a Friday (L3 D1). The last time they won on a Friday was in November 2013, against Melbourne City.

*Besart Berisha has netted in four of his last five appearances against Wanderers in the Hyundai A-League (including finals).

Melbourne City FC v Newcastle Jets

*Melbourne City are unbeaten in six home Hyundai A-League matches (W4 D2).

*Newcastle Jets are searching for their first Hyundai A-League away win of the season (D4 L6). Their last win on the road was over a year ago against Western Sydney on March 2.

*Melbourne City’s last clean sheet against Newcastle Jets came in November 2011, nine Hyundai A-League clashes ago.

*Andrew Hoole has won 51 fouls for the Jets this Hyundai A-League season, more than anyone in the squad.

Perth Glory v Wellington Phoenix

*Wellington Phoenix last failed to score against Glory nine meetings ago.

*Having won all their opening six Hyundai A-League home matches this campaign, Perth Glory have now gone four without a victory (D2 L2).

*Wellington are one of two sides yet to draw away from home in the Hyundai A-League (W5 L5, the same record as Adelaide).

*Andy Keogh scored on his Hyundai A-League debut against Wellington Phoenix in October, and the winner in November’s match both won 2-1 by Glory.

Sydney FC v Brisbane Roar FC

*Sydney FC has taken just 13 points at home this Hyundai A-League season, compared to 22 away.

*Brisbane have failed to score in their last two against Sydney. They last went three Hyundai A-League games without a goal against them in January 2008 (excluding playoffs).

*Sydney FC have scored as many home goals in their last two Hyundai A-League games at Allianz Stadium as they had in the rest of their games there this season (7).

*Dimitri Petratos scored a hat-trick against Sydney in December 2013. He’s scored just twice since then in 30 Hyundai A-League games.
