Westfield Women’s under-17 coach Ante Juric has named a 24-player squad to take part in a crucial training camp this week as the team embark on a huge year ahead.
It starts next month in Melaka, Malaysia with qualifiers for next year’s AFC Under-16 Championships.
If the squad can qualify for that tournament, they will then aim to make at least the final which doubles as qualification for the FIFA Women’s under-17 World Cup in Jordan in 2016.
Australia has failed to qualify for the last four editions of the FIFA under-17 World Cup.
This current squad possesses some exceptional talent and comes from all over the country, including four each from Victoria, NSW, South Australia and NSW Country.
