Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder Kosta Grozos is determined to use the “amazing” feeling of signing his first senior contract as a launching pad to Hyundai A-League minutes.
Grozos, 18, has committed his future to Western Sydney for the next two seasons.
The good news comes at just the right time as the Young Socceroo recovers from a knee injury that ruled him out of the recent AFC U19 Championship.

Now, the teenager is hoping to turn a taste of FFA Cup action into extended opportunities with Markus Babbel’s men.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling that I’ve never felt before in my life, signing my first senior contract, and to have another two years at the club is amazing,” Grozos said.
“My goal is to play in as many games as I can for the club and hopefully we can qualify for the Asian Champions League next year as well.
“The coach just wants the best from us and for us to leave everything we have out on the pitch.
“All the experienced boys that have played at the highest level like Oriol Riera, Alex Baumjohann and Roly Bonevacia, everything I watch and everything they do, I take into account in everything I do.”

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas congratulated the Foxtel National Youth League star on inking the upgraded deal.
“I am very proud to see Kosta Grozos, who has come through our academy system at the Wanderers, sign his first senior contract with the club,” Tsatsimas said.
“This is a prime example of the foundations we’ve put in place with our academy to create players for the future to represent the region of Western Sydney.
“We wish him all the best in his recovery and we can’t wait to see him back on the field wearing the red and black.”
