Sydney and Melbourne battle it out for the right to play in this year’s WWL final
Congratulations to Melbourne Victory on reaching their first ever Westfield W-League semi final!
Melbourne-s journey to the grand final continues this Sunday in Campbelltown against the stylish Sky Blues, who also happen to be the premiers and who are in devastating form!
Last week Sydney continued their run of good results after beating Newcastle 2-1 in a tight and competitive match.
It-s no doubt that at this point, based on results and form, the Sydney girls are wearing the ‘favourites’ tag heading into this next semi final against their traditional interstate rivals.
This by no means will ensure them a win against the Victory, though, as a drop in performance by Sydney now could possibly see Melbourne snatch the victory and the upset!
The Victory dealt Adelaide their final blow for the season last week, winning 2-0. Melbourne was under extreme pressure to win that game since the semi final was on the line!
They find themselves in the same position, requiring another win this week–though the stakes are much higher!!!
So get down to Campbelltown on Sunday to take the journey with your team on their quest to be apart of this year-s Westfield W-League Grand Final!
