It’s the Premiers up against the defending Champions as Brisbane Roar host Melbourne City in a blockbuster Westfield W-League semi-final on Sunday.
Roar’s star-studded squad will start favourites at Perry Park after a phenomenal regular season campaign, but City showed last season they can go all the way from fourth spot.
The two sides met twice during the regular season and we look back at those clashes leading into Sunday’s winner-takes-all battle.
Round 12 at AAMI Park
Melbourne City 0-0 Brisbane Roar
After a shattering Derby loss the week before, City were looking to respond and make a statement against the league-leaders.
And while both sides had chances to take the points, the form of Westfield Matildas teammates and goalkeepers Lydia Williams and Mackenzie Arnold meant no side would break the stalemate.
Round 8 at Suncorp Stadium
Brisbane Roar 2-0 Melbourne City
Roar headed into this one on the back of a shock 3-0 loss to the Jets the week before but hit back in impressive fashion.
Both goals came after the break, with Allira Toby grabbing the opener just after the hour mark, and only a minute after coming off the bench.
The result was made safe 10 minutes later with Westfield Matildas playmaker Katrina Gorry’s sensational free-kick nestling in the bottom corner of the net.
