Westfield W-League Season 2020/21 Fixtures: Melbourne City

Melbourne City hold all of the gold after claiming their second Premiership and fourth Championship last season – but another undefeated campaign may be a much tougher ask.

Rado Vidosic’s side were the dominance force of 2019/20, only conceding five goals in 14 straight wins on their way to the double title triumph, but expect their Westfield W-League rivals to close the gap this year.

City will be desperate to prove they are still the standard-bearers of the competition and they may need to lean on their emerging youngsters more so than in the past.

New recruits from Queensland, Hollie Palmer and Leah Davidson, will be ready to impress while Westfield Matildas goalkeeper Teagan Micah is set to take over the controls of the league’s best defence.
