Westfield Matildas and Melbourne City goalkeeper Teagan Micah has taken out Westfield W-League Save of the Round for her sensational save against Emily Gielnik.
Micah denied Roar striker Gielnik in stunning fashion, leaping to her left and tipping away her Australian international teammates bending effort in the first half of City’s 3-2 home loss to the Queenslanders on Sunday.
Despite shipping three goals in the end-to-end affair, Micah made nine saves in total to keep her City side in the game against a Brisbane team who are gathering real attacking momentum this season.
Micah has made 27 saves in six appearances for City this season, the most by any goalkeeper.
