Australia’s golden girl continues to show off her fantastic form in the Westfield W-League, scoring a sublime hat-trick inside 10 minutes in her side’s six-goal thriller with Newcastle Jets on Saturday night.
Kerr showed off her excellent finishing ability – and that trademark summersault – with her treble between the 75th and 84th minutes at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Incredibly, her eight goals for the campaign have come from just five appearances.
7 goals: Rachel Hill (Perth Glory Women)
After her superb start to the season, Glory’s American import has been kept relatively quiet in recent weeks.
But she’s in a good position to pounce for the golden boot title over the remainder of the campaign.
5 goals: Natasha Dowie (Melbourne Victory Women), Katie Stengel (Newcastle Jess Women), Makenzy Doniak (Adelaide United Women)
US import Stengel was on the scoresheet for the Jets in the 3-3 draw with Glory, moving her up to five alongside a couple of other in-form attackers.
Fellow American recruit Doniak managed to net a first-half equaliser in her side’s loss to the Wanderers on Friday night.
English international Dowie was became Victory’s all-time leading Westfield W-League goalscorer last week with her brace in the 4-0 win against Adelaide United. But a bye over the weekend keeps her on five goals.
4 goals: Lisa De Vanna (Sydney FC Women), Jessica Fishlock (Melbourne City Women), Michelle Heyman (Canberra United Women), Arin Gilliland (Newcastle Jets Women)
Westfield Matildas veteran Lisa De Vanna looms as a danger woman to the leaders, hitting form at just the right time.
The Sky Blues attacker grabbed a classy brace in the 3-0 win against Canberra United at Allianz Stadium on Friday evening, her sweet left-foot curler into the top left corner a real highlight.
Newcastle Jets’ Gilliland opened the scoring against Glory to maintain her hot form, but Canberra United’s Michelle Heyman may have notched a game-high seven shots against Sydney but failed to find the net to remain on four goals.
