Simone Charley – Canberra United

Round 1 v Perth Glory

One her debut for Canberra, Charley had already opened the scoring a few minutes earlier before producing this piece of individual magic.

Cutting in from the right, the American blazed past a couple of defenders before bending a brilliant strike with her left foot into the far top corner.

Natasha Dowie – Melbourne Victory

Round 2 v Brisbane Roar

The Victory skipper has scored a stack of goals during her time in the Westfield W-League but arguably none better than the one that proved to be the winner against Roar.

Dowie had plenty of work to do when the ball came her way on the edge of the box but she showed all her class to take one touch on her chest before unleashing a wicked volley past MacKenzie Arnold.

Amy Jackson – Melbourne Victory

Round 7 v Perth Glory

Glory’s defence found out the hard way that it’s not a smart move to give Jackson time and space just outside the box.

The Victory midfielder’s left foot is one of the deadliest in the competition and she showed it with a rasping drive which gave Eliza Campbell no chance.

Princess Ibini – Sydney FC

Round 7 v Adelaide United

The Sydney FC flyer is probably better known for her speedy runs down the flank but Ibini also has an exceptional eye for goal.

And she displayed just that in her side’s win over the Reds in December, blasting an inch-perfect strike into the top corner from a long way out.

Chloe Logarzo – Sydney FC

Round 8 v Canberra United

The Westfield Matildas attacker may have been just a metre out when she struck her goal against Canberra but it was still a thing of beauty.

After Caitlin Foord drove into the box on the right, her cross founds its way to Logarzo who produced a classy back-heel flick to ice a comfortable win for the Sky Blues.

Tessa Tamplin – Newcastle Jets

Round 11 v Perth Glory

It may have been a consolation goal on the night but Tamplin’s long-range strike against Glory won’t be forgotten for a while.

The youngster turned away in disappointment when her lofted ball into the box seemed to be over hit but she was soon swamped by teammates as the ball lobbed over the keeper and into the net.
