Chelsie Dawber’s first-time volley against Canberra United has been adjudged the best goal scored throughout Round 8 of the 2020/21 Westfield W-League campaign.
Dawber scored the opening goal of Adelaide’s 2-1 win over fellow top four contenders Canberra United.
Isabel Hodgson sparked the chance with a perfectly-weighted lofted through ball from the right flank to the back post. Dawber got in behind Canberra’s defence and struck toward goal on the volley, showing perfect technique to hit the ball with the inside of her boot and send it crashing into the back of the net.
