Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today announced it will move the venue for the Round 11 Westfield W-League 2016/17 fixture between Sydney FC and Melbourne City FC on Sunday 8 January 2017 from Leichhardt Oval to Allianz Stadium.
This fixture was originally scheduled at Central Coast Stadium as a double header with a Hyundai A-League match however due to limited change room facilities was then moved to Leichhardt Oval.
In recent days FFA was advised that the Leichhardt Oval playing surface was not up to the standard the Westfield W-League requires given some recent works.
As such, to ensure the quality of playing conditions and the need for a broadcast facility, the game will now be played at Allianz Stadium with a 2.30pm kick off. This game is a rematch of the Westfield W-League 2016 Grand Final.
