Westfield W-League 2020 finals series looms large

With only four rounds of the Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season remaining the race for the Westfield W-League Premiers Plate is really heating up.

Melbourne City FC currently have a four-point buffer at the top of the table, but the Westfield W-League 2019/20 Premiership is by no means a fait accompli for Melbourne City FC with a Melbourne Derby,  the Western Sydney Wanderers FC and Brisbane Roar FC on their schedule for the remainder of the season.

Seven points from their remaining three will secure their second Westfield W-League Premiers Plate.

Adding to the excitement for fans is that the top four is also wide open with seven clubs still alive in the race.

Melbourne City FC needs two points from their remaining three matches to secure a berth in the Westfield W-League 2020 Finals Series.

Their cross-town rivals, Sydney FC, will also be looking for a record breaking twelfth Westfield W-League Finals Series appearance having finished in the top four since the inception of the competition.

The Sydney Derby in Round 12 is shaping up to be an important match for both teams with potential hosting rights in the Westfield W-League 2020 Finals Series on the line.

The fight for the other place within the top four place is also still very much live with Brisbane Roar FC and Melbourne Victory finding form and Canberra United still in the race.
