Westfield W-League 2015/16 Round 2 review

Melbourne City and Brisbane Roar are the only two teams with perfect records after two rounds of the 2015/16 Westfield W-League season.

City are clear on goal difference having won the maiden Melbourne derby against Victory 2-1 in the Fox Sports/ABV TV match.

Reigning champions Canberra United bounced back from defeat at Brisbane to record an impressive 3-0 win over the visiting Sydney FC.

The Roar, for their part, won by the same scoreline at a luckless Western Sydney Wanderers, with all three goals coming in the final half-hour.

Newcastle Jets showed promise by opening their campaign with a hard-won scoreless draw, having made the long trip to premiers Perth Glory.
