Champions Canberra United and Sydney FC stormed to the top of the Westfield W-League thanks to impressive comeback wins, with Perth Glory knocked off the summit after losing their unbeaten record.
Canberra United have a slim hold on top spot thanks to a superior goal difference although they were in danger of losing their lengthy unbeaten record against a brave Adelaide.
The Lady Reds were 1-0 up until midway through the second half thanks to Racheal Quigley-s effort, only for United to finish strongly and end Adelaide-s hopes of a famous win.
Caitlin Cooper finally broke Adelaide-s resistance with captain Ellie Brush and substitute Sam Wood completing a 12-minute three-goal burst.
Sydney FC-s visit to rivals Brisbane Roar produced a carbon copy scenario as the Sky Blues came from a goal down to win by the same score line.
Brisbane Roar struggled in attack without the injured Tameka Butt but, nevertheless took the lead against the run of play through Lana Harch.
However, the visitors struck back strongly with Sam Kerr, Emma Kete and Ellyse Perry all hitting the net as the Sky Blues took a two-goal lead just past the hour mark.
At the other end of the table, Melbourne Victory and Western Sydney Wanderers ground out deserved wins over Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory respectively.
The Victory overcame a tough start to the season to claim their maiden win, with Rebekah Stott the unlikely goal scorer just prior to the half-time whistle.
The visiting Jets were hamstrung on their trip to Geelong with key midfielder Emily van Egmond missing with injury and defender Stacey Day sent off in the latter stages.
In was a historic day for Western Sydney Wanderers who claimed their first-ever Westfield W-League win with a 2-0 score line against the previously unbeaten Glory.
Player of the match Trudy Camilleri scored in each half as the Wanderers were deserving victors over the last remaining team with a perfect record.
