Western Sydney Wanderers will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start to life at Bankwest Stadium when league-leaders Melbourne City come to town on Friday night.
Markus Babbel’s side have won two and drawn one of their three Hyundai A-League games on their home turf and tend to produce a bit extra with their home support behind them.
They should also be reasonably fresh for the opening match of Round 7 after enjoying a bye last weekend.
In contrast, City head to Sydney just five days after their first loss of the campaign, a thrilling 4-3 defeat against Brisbane Roar on Sunday.
It will be interesting to see how Erick Mombaerts’ side respond to that setback, but in striker Jamie Maclaren (seven goals in three games) they have a striker at the peak of his powers.
