Western Sydney Wanderers star Nicolas Milanovic has signed a contract extension with the Isuzu UTE A-League outfit.
Milanovic’s new one-year deal will see the academy graduate remain with the Wanderers until the end of the 2025-26 season.
The 22-year-old, who turned down offers from Europe to remain in Western Sydney, was linked with a move away after earning the club’s 2023-24 Golden Boot while he was also named the Wanderers’ Media Player of the Year and Members’ Player of the Year.

“I was 10 years old when I started supporting the club. I remember the colours and the noise. I worshipped players like Shinji Ono and Mark Bridge, and I always wanted that to be me,” said Milanovic ahead of the Round 1 Sydney Derby on October 19.
“The West is where I was born. The stands are where I was raised. And this club, this area, will always be my home.
“I’m excited for the next two seasons to continue to represent my hometown club and work under head coach Alen Stajcic.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity every day to represent the people of Western Sydney and I will give everything I’ve got to ensure that we have success.”

BIG INTERVIEW: Stajcic’s blueprint to turn Wanderers into ‘the best club in the country’
Milanovic, who returned to the Wanderers from Western United in 2023, scored a career-high nine goals last season.
He has scored 14 A-Leagues goals for the Wanderers, and 16 across all competitions.
“Milo (Milanovic) really had a breakout season last year and showed he can become one of the best players in the country,” said Wanderers head coach Alen Stajcic.
“It’s exciting to see how much further he can grow as an individual this season and the impact this will have on our club.
“He is another example of a young Western Sydney product that shows the talent we have on our doorstep and the passion that exists for our club.”
