Bayswater City and Stirling Lions will enter the main dance of the inaugural national competition after both advancing to the Cool Ridge Cup Final.
Bayswater, who currently sit on top of the National Premier League WA ladder, scored a convincing 4-0 win over Subiaco while Stirling saw off ECU Joondalup 3-1 in the other semi final.
The Lions- triumph came courtesy of goals from the Micevski brothers, David scoring a brace – one of which came from the penalty spot – while Daniel scored the other. Joe Smith managed a stoppage-time consolation for ECU but it was too little too late as Stirling celebrated their entry to the highly anticipated Westfield FFA Cup.
Despite the lop sided score line, Bayswater did not have it all their own way as Subiaco provided stubborn resistance until late on.
Trent Kay gave Bayswater a 1-0 lead at half time and it took them until the last ten minutes to seal the result thanks to goals from Brian Farrell, Declan Hargreaves and Kay-s second.
The Final of the Cool Ridge Cup will be held at Macedonia Park on July 19, ten days before the Westfield FFA Cup kicks off.
