Wellington Phoenix have released their new kits ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 campaign.
Partnering up with Paladin Sports, the Kiwi club have formed a brand new design for the new season, incorporating the modern faded stripes through the shirt complemented by the traditional features of a Phoenix shirt.
The famous black and yellow colours remain alongside E Rere Te Keo, recognising Wellington as the home “the resounding call” of the Wellington harbour taniwha Ngake, urging the team to strive to work even harder heading into the new season.
The home strip consists of a yellow shirt, black shorts and yellow socks with the away strip being a reverse with a black shirt, yellow shorts and black socks.
“I can’t wait to see our home fans at Westpac and to be wearing our new design will be a fantastic feeling,” said Phoenix club captain Steven Taylor.
ALL THE KITS: Every Hyundai A-League jersey for 2019/20
“There is a real optimism here in Wellington that we can build on our previous success and become a real force within the competition.
“We have a great mix of young talent alongside an experienced core of players which puts us in a good position to succeed this season.
“Those who were here last season are still hurting from our premature exit and so the whole squad is driven to surpass what we achieved.
“Ufuk has given us the tools to succeed and we’re looking forward to showing our potential this season in front of our fans as we fight for the badge.”

Wellington Phoenix General Manager, David Dome, said: “It has been an enjoyable process to create the new playing strips which will breathe new life into the club.
“It is never an easy process when working with a new kit manufacturer but Paladin Sports have been extremely accommodating and the attention to detail has been second to none.
“I believe the fans will enjoy the fresh new look of the kits and the affordability of the supporter range in general as we look forward to the new campaign and an exciting new future for us and the competition as a whole.”
