Deputy Managing Director Huawei NZ, Andrew Bowater, said “We are excited to reaffirm our commitment to Wellington and New Zealand through this partnership and proud with how we have stood steadfastly together since 2013.

“We have both been through a lot, but we keep fighting alongside each other.

“Since launching the partnership we have achieved so much with matches against English Premier League teams, games in Beijing and annual tours to Hong Kong.

“Huawei has also delivered a world-class Smart Stadium WiFi solution at Westpac Stadium to ensure the fans have been able to get online and share the action.

“There is so much excitement around the season ahead and with a strong core of young Kiwi’s coming through, we will do everything we can to help the Phoenix go further and faster than ever before.”

Wellington Phoenix General Manager, David Dome, said: “Huawei have been a staunch support of the Wellington Phoenix since they came on board in 2013 and are now the longest current front of shirt partner in the A-League.

“They are a wonderful contributor to business and the community in New Zealand in everything they do, and we are rightly proud to wear that brand on the front of our shirt.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with Huawei, two great brands battling against the odds.

“Through Huawei’s sponsorship during the past six years, the Wellington Phoenix has been able to achieve great things.”
