Can The Sky Blues end their year on a high or will Heart put a stop to their unbeaten run? Be there and find out!

Sydney Football Stadium is set to host a blinder as these closely matched teams hope for some late Christmas presents in the form of Hyundai A-League points! Head along and spice up your holiday season with some North/South rivalry!

If last week-s cracker of a match against Adelaide United is any indication of what will occur this Thursday, then you-d be a fool to miss it. An incredibly noisy and passionate crowd of over 10,000 were offered non-stop entertainment from first-whistle to last, as the Sky Blues found themselves involved in a tit for tat battle against a United side revitalised by the appointment of new coach, John Kosmina. The game had pretty much everything: four goals, a converted penalty, a saved penalty, a red card and eight yellows, as the home side once again proved that they never know when they-re beaten. Twice behind, they clawed their way back into the contest thanks to a Karol Kisel penalty and a peach of a volley from the increasingly impressive Dimitri Petratos. In a frantic final spell, the home side – roared on by The Cove – desperately tried to find a winner that would have seen them leapfrog Brisbane Roar (which seemed unthinkable a few weeks ago) but, alas, it wasn-t to be. Still, the draw means that their unbeaten run now stands at four games. If they can just curb this habit of falling behind in matches, they really have a shot at a top-two finish.

Thursday-s opponents, Melbourne Heart, will also be looking to capitalise on a string of recent wins and end the year on a high note, and they-ll be taking on a team that has never beaten them. In a head-to-head dominated by draws, Heart-s only ever appearance at Sydney Football Stadium resulted in a 1-0 win for the visitors. If they can reprise that performance, they will further cement their credentials as genuine contenders for silverware this season.

Whatever you do, don-t leave this game early! Back in October, these two clubs brought remarkable late drama to their clash in Victoria. Heart thought they had won it on 88 minutes when Maycon forced the ball home following a goalmouth scramble. However, Red and White Hearts were broken when Nick Carle scored a remarkable 93rd-minute equaliser

With these two adversaries so closely placed on the ladder, this contest is certain to be a thriller. The Sky Blues will be hoping for a home win that will bring plenty of cheer to The Cove-s holiday season, while Heart will be looking to spoil the party. Which way will the result go, as two fine sides do battle at Sydney Football Stadium on Thursday night? Be a part of the live Hyundai A-League drama and find out!
