Adelaide United will approach a Matchweek 16 encounter with Macarthur FC intent on getting revenge on the Bulls when the two sides meet at Coopers Stadium on Wednesday, April 14.
Macarthur dominated Adelaide in a 4-0 victory at Campbelltown Stadium on February 12. Matt Derbyshire scored three and Mark Milligan added a rare goal to his tally to seal an impressive home win for the Bulls.
Adelaide clicked into gear after falling apart against the A-League newcomers. A six-game winning streak was to follow, as Carl Veart’s side roared into Premiership contention.
But the Reds have stalled of late, losing to Central Coast Mariners before drawing 2-2 with Western Sydney Wanderers earlier in Matchweek 16.
Macarthur head to the City of Churches after suffering a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brisbane Roar on Friday, April 9. That result stopped a three-game winning streak which took the Bulls third on the A-League table after Matchweek 15.
With both sides level on 26 points before the Coopers Stadium clash, three points would catapult either team into outright second, just one point behind Central Coast Mariners on 30 points who lead the pack at the current stage.
