Sydney FC and Perth Glory will meet for the second time in 14 days when the two top-six aspirants face off at Nestrata Jubilee Stadium on Wednesday, April 7.
Glory and the Sky Blues played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in Matchweek 13. Perth took the lead through Bruno Fornaroli before Sydney’s Brazilian frontman Bobô netted in the second stanza to give the visitors a share of the points.
Glory have since beaten Newcastle Jets 2-1 and lost 2-0 to Macarthur FC, as their charge for a spot in the top six hit a road block against the Bulls in Campbelltown.
The Sky Blues, meanwhile, followed on from the 1-1 draw with Perth by losing 1-0 to Adelaide United before beating Melbourne Victory 3-0 in a huge Big Blue win on the road.
The result took Sydney five points clear of Perth, who can close that gap back to two and retain their game in hand on Steve Corica’s side by collecting all three points at Nestrata Jubilee Stadium.
