Adelaide United are happy with the tag of underdogs in Friday night’s Semi-Final with Perth Glory, says Reds captain Isaias.
Glory will start strong favourites to secure their first Grand Final berth since April 2012, with Tony Popovic’s premiers enjoying an 11-day rest after closing out the regular season with a 5-0 win over Wellington in Round 27.
For their part, Adelaide will enter the fray only five days after an exhausting 120-minute Elimination Final triumph over Melbourne City.

Moreover, the Reds have failed to register a single goal against the Glory in their three league meetings this season, which have ended in two 2-0 defeats at Coopers Stadium (November, March) and a 0-0 stalemate at HBF Park (January).
But Spanish midfielder Isaias, 32, believes the slate is wiped clean in finals football, and says his Adelaide side are going to bring the fight to the premiers in WA.
“That’s fine, they [Perth] can be the favourites,” Isaias said.
“They are the current premiers of the league. They have a fantastic team and have had a fantastic year.
“Everyone is expecting them to win tomorrow.
But this is a different competition. This is a one-game elimination and we are coming here to fight.
“We are not coming here for holidays.”
