Brisbane Roar 0-2 Western United FC
The pressure is starting to build on Brisbane Roar and coach Robbie Fowler after they slumped to a disappointing defeat in front of their home fans.
Connor Pain and former Roar fan-favourite Besart Berisha scored first-half goals as Mark Rudan’s side jumped up to third on the Hyundai A-League ladder.

Melbourne Victory 0-0 Wellington Phoenix
No goals but a feisty 90 minutes at AAMI Park as Phoenix increased their unbeaten run to five matches after a goalless draw with Victory.
But Ufuk Talay’s side will feel they may have left with even more, especially as Victory were reduced to 10 men early in the second half.

Sydney FC 1-0 Central Coast Mariners
The pre-game predictions of a Sky Blues landslide win never eventuated as the Mariners pushed the home side all the way in Kogarah.
Kosta Barbarouses scored early on but the Mariners refused to buckle, and only a couple of excellent saves from Andrew Redmayne ensured Sydney FC kept their winning run going.
