Tony Popovic has continued the development of his Wanderers FC squad, with the club unveiling Croatian pair Dino Kresinger and Mateo Poljak as the latest recruits.
Kresinger arrived in the country on Friday and will have his first training session with the Wanderers today at Blacktown International Sportspark.
The 30-year-old will add to an already strong forward line and also add a large amount of experience to the Wanderers squad.
Before his arrival in Australia, Kresinger has spent his entire playing career in Croatia, playing 11 seasons in the Croatian league across five clubs.
Poljak arrived in Australia on Sunday and will also have his first session with the Wanderers today.
The 22-year-old has represented the Croatian Under 19 side and spent five seasons at the Lokomotiva Zagreb side in the Croatian league.
Coach Tony Popovic is happy to have the Croatian as part of the Wanderers squad.
“It-s great to have the guys here, they are two guys that we have monitored for a while,” Popovic said.
“Dino is someone that is the ultimate professional, he-s been in the game for a long time and wants to do well in Australia,” he added.
“Mateo is very technical and he has high aspirations to perform well in Australia, he sees this as a great challenge for him to have and be out of his comfort zone is something that he is looking forward to.”
