Wanderers sign American midfielder for upcoming Westfield W-League season

Western Sydney Wanderers have announced the signing of American midfielder Lo’eau LaBonta for the upcoming Westfield W-League season.

The 24-year-old joins the club from Kansas City in the National Women’s Soccer League where she has made over 20 appearances for the club.

LaBonta was drafted in the US college football system signing for Stanford Carnival before earning her first professional contract with Sky Blue FC in 2015.

LaBonta featured in a handful of matches for the Sky Blue and made the switch to Kansas City FC where she became a regular starter after making her debut for the club against Orlando pride in 2016. 

The tenacious midfielder will add some extra international flair to the Wanderers W-League squad this season joining fellow foreigners Lee Falkon, Marlous Pieete and Maruscha Waldus.
