Western Sydney Wanderers have re-signed Nikolai Topor-Stanley on a three year deal that will keep him in Red and Black until the end of the 2016/17 season.

A foundation player for the Club, the defender shares the record for most Wanderers appearances in the Hyundai A-League with Ante Covic; both players having taken the pitch 57 times.

Topor-Stanley-s form has been impressive since day one for the Wanderers, earning the Members- Player of the Year award in 2012/13 as well as selection in the Foxtel A-League All Stars in the inaugural All Stars match against Manchester United.

The past season has also seen his leadership qualities come to the fore having worn the captain-s armband many times throughout the year including the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 Grand Final.

Joining Western Sydney in 2012 Topor-Stanley says his decision to move from Newcastle to be a foundation Wanderers player has transformed his career.

“After the first couple of weeks with Western Sydney I knew that moving to the Wanderers was the best decision of my life,” explained Topor-Stanley.

“I trust completely in Tony Popovic, his vision and how he wants the club to be run.

“I am really pleased to be given the opportunity to continue working at a club like this and I am looking forward to future challenges with the Wanderers.”
