Western Sydney Wanderers FC today confirmed the departure of a number of players following the conclusion of the club’s season.
Western Sydney Wanderers will have a very new look next season after the club confirmed 11 players were departing ‘Wanderland’ now their Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season is over.
Headlining the departures are imports Oriol Riera, Roly Bonevacia, Raul Llorente and Alexander Baumjohann, while Caltex Socceroos defender Josh Risdon has already been confirmed as joining new club Western United FC.

The other players on their way out of the Wanderers are Jaushua Sotirio, Abraham Majok, Marc Tokich, Rashid Mahazi, John Roberts and Giancarlo Gallifuoco.

The news comes on the same day as the Wanderers unveiled former Victory and Jets defender Daniel Georgievski was joining the club for the next two seasons.
Both Riera and Bonevacia confirmed on social media earlier this week that Saturday night’s loss to Victory was their last game for the club.
Riera, a former La Liga marksman, scored 25 goals in 49 Hyundai A-League matches for the Red and Black after arriving in Australia from Deportivo La Coruña in July 2017.
Bonevacia, 27, joined the Wanderers in May 2017 from Wellington Phoenix and this season scored four goals in consecutive matches from Round 13-16.
He played 45 times for the Red and Black in the Hyundai A-League, scoring eight times.
The departure of Baumjohann also comes as no surprise after Babbel confirmed the loss to Victory in Round 27 was his last game for the club.
The German creative midfielder featured in 20 Hyundai A-League matches for the club, scoring four goals.
