Wanderers turnover continues as Fitzgerald departs

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the departure of Nick Fitzgerald.

The big turnover of Western Sydney Wanderers’ squad has continued with news attacker Nick Fitzgerald has left the club.

Fitzgerald is the 13th player from last season’s squad to depart the Wanderers.

After the final round of the campaign, the Wanderers announced 11 players were departing, including star imports Oriol Riera, Alexander Baumjohann and Roly Bonevacia.

Less than two weeks later, defender and captain Brendan Hamill was also released, going on to sign with new Hyundai A-League club Western United FC.

While a stack of players have left the club, Babbel has started to add to his squad with Daniel Georgievski, Pirmin Schwegler, Daniel Lopar and Radoslaw Majewski all confirmed for next season.
