Wanderers clarify Juric Facebook transfer post

Western Sydney Wanderers FC won’t comment on Tomi Juric transfer speculation, but confirmed the Socceroo striker does not have a Facebook account.

The rumour mill was in overdrive on Tuesday morning as a message on Juric’s “official” Facebook account suggested tonight’s ACL clash against Guangzhou Evergrande would be his last game for the club.

“Today I will be playing my last game for the Western Sydney Wanderers vs Guangzhou Evergrande,” the post read.

“Hope we get the win. I would like to thank everyone for supporting me, and thank the Wanderers for a great time at the club.”

Tomi Juric is in doubt for Australia's friendlies against Germany and FYR Macedonia.

Phoenix confirm five players’ exit

But Wanderers officials told www.a-league.com.au later on Tuesday that their star striker does not have an official Facebook page.

“We don’t comment on player speculation,” a club official said.

“All I can confirm is that it is not Tomi’s page as he does not have one.”

Juric’s future remains up in the air with the Socceroos star reportedly after a move to Europe.

He has made 14 appearances in the Hyundai A-League this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

The 23-year-old was also part of the Socceroos squad which won the Asian Cup in January, setting up James Troisi’s winner in the final.
