This weekend-s live match on ABC1 promises to be worthy of the occasion with a host of star names on each side. Canberra hit the ground running in their opening outing with a hugely impressive 3-0 win over two-time champions Brisbane Roar as the pair reprised the 2012 Grand Final. Western Sydney Wanderers, for their part, struggled for fluency but this week will be boosted by returning personnel.

New coach Liesbeth Migchelsen will be delighted with her team-s start despite significant changes on the playing roster. Michelle Heyman has made an early claim to reclaim her golden boot crown with an opening-week double, and she will surely be provided with plenty of ammunition thanks to the likes of Lori Lindsey and Stephanie Ochs. United will be hoping for strong support as always at their Belconnen home for what is always a good occasion in the nation-s capital.

Western Sydney Wanderers flattered to deceive in the opening round, having the better of play against Adelaide but failing to carve out much in the way of significant goalscoring opportunities. Westfield Matildas utility Server Uzunlar is set to play her first match of the season, though an international clearance remains pending. Expect a more cohesive showing from the Wanderers and in particular former United midfielder Emily Van Egmond will be keen to impress against one of her former clubs.
