Melbourne Victory stalwart Leigh Broxham is set to make his 200th Hyundai A-League appearance for the club at the weekend.
Broxham will reach the major milestone when Victory hosts Western Sydney Wanderers in a blockbuster clash at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
Only Archie Thompson (217) has made more appearances for Victory, highlighting the significance of Broxham’s achievement.
In fact, Broxham will become just the 11th player in Hyundai A-League history to play 200 games and the third after John Hutchinson and Thompson to do so at the one club.
The versatile Broxham joined Victory in 2006, making his debut off the bench away to Perth Glory in Round 19 of the 2006/07 campaign.
He has since established himself as one of Victory’s most respected figures and was named in the club’s Team of the Decade last year.
