The Ivory Coast-born fullback was a standout performer during his two seasons in the Big V’s backline, earning a contract with top flight Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes after leaving Victory on a free transfer at the end of last term.
Speaking at the unveiling of French centre-back Matthieu Delpierre on Thursday, the club’s Football Operations Manager indicated head coach Kevin Muscat could rely on existing squad members to step and fill the void left by the popular left-back.
“At this stage we’ve still got two positions on the roster we’re looking to fill,” Trimboli said.
“Position wise, Kevin’s looking at a few different options. We still have two very good options for left-back at the moment, Scott Galloway and Dylan Murnane, who both featured there last year at times.
“So I think Kevin’s pretty comfortable with those guys there at the moment.”
