Melbourne Victory’s Melina Ayres has shot up the goalscoring leaderboard in NPLW Victoria, following an outstanding solo performance in Round 10.
The NAB Young Footballer of the Year nominee netted all five goals in South Melbourne’s stunning 5-1 victory over NTC.
Ayres completed her hat-trick in the 32nd minute, before netting two second-half goals to complete a brilliant outing.
Ayres sits in second position on the goalscoring charts, with 14 goals, three behind Calder United’s Catherine Zimmerman.
The striker has now netted a staggering 53 goals in her last 36 appearances in the competition.
