Melbourne Victory have been given a strong send-off ahead of their venture north to Newcastle for the Hyundai A-League Grand Final.
Kevin Muscat and his championship-chasing squad were greeted by a swarm of supporters at their open training session at Gosch’s Paddock on Thursday.
It was the final chance for local fans to see their favourites on the track with the squad departing for Sydney on Friday.

From there, the Newcastle Jets and a sold-out McDonald Jones Stadium await on Saturday night.
If they can add to their Semi Final scalp of Sydney FC and upset the hosts, Victory will become the first club in Hyundai A-League history to have won four Grand Finals.
Kick-off in the decider is at 7.50pm (AEST).
