Victory secure all-time leading goalscorer for two seasons

Natasha Dowie says it was an easy decision to return to Melbourne Victory after signing a two-year deal with the club today.

Dowie has made a sizeable impact on the Westfield W-League following her arrival on Australian shores in 2015, becoming Victory’s all-time leading goal scorer with 17 goals in 31 games.

Last season, she became the first player to top Victory’s goal scoring in three different seasons.

“It was an easy decision for me because I’ve had a great playing career at Melbourne Victory,” Dowie told Melbourne Victory’s official website.

“It is by far the best club I’ve been involved in with regards to how they treat you as a player, I really feel like part of the furniture here.

“Every year I look forward to the W-League so I’m excited about getting a full pre-season under my belt and hopefully having a successful year.

“Jeff has done a great job, people want to come here and play for him because he is a great coach and well thought of in the women’s game.”
