Midfielder Anthony Lesiotis and goalkeeper Matthew Sutton are among 23 players Melbourne Victory have confirmed as full-time youth players for the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season.
The players selected in the squad will train full-time with the squad, alongside a further 24 youngsters who will train around school commitments.
The squad features four players who regularly train with the Hyundai A-League squad – including Lesiotis, Sutton, Jay Barnett, Brandon Lauton and Hyundai A-League contracted midfielder Birkan Kirdar.
Thirteen players have retained their places from last season’s NYL squad while five have been promoted from the Melbourne Victory Academy pool, namely Robson Deme, Nicholas Hamakiotis, James Paneras, Nishan Velupillay and William Wilson.
Additionally, five players have joined Victory from rival Hyundai A-League clubs, including Barnett, Lleyton Brooks (both Brisbane Roar), Luis Lawrie-Lottanzio (Adelaide United), and Dalibor Markovic and Joshua Varga from crosstown rivals Melbourne City.
