Melbourne Victory have signed Orlando Pride duo Christine Nairn and Dani Weatherholt to their ranks for the upcoming Westfield W-League 2018/19 season.
The American pair arrive in Australia after strong campaigns with the Pride, who finished seventh in the 2018 National Women’s Soccer League.
28-year-old attacking midfielder Nairn is set for her fourth stint in navy blue, while 24-year-old Dani Weatherholt is a Westfield W-League newcomer.
Victory coach Jeff Hopkins said the signings will bolster the club’s Westfield W-League charge.

“Christine was a key target for me because, similar to Tash [Natasha] Dowie, she has been here before and knows what we’re about,” Hopkins told Melbourne Victory’s official website.
“She’s a leader and sets a really good example for the rest of the squad with her professionalism.
“Dani is a talented midfielder [that] not only has great defensive qualities, but also gets forward to support attacks.
“She’s a great team player and very influential both on and off the field.
“I’m really happy with how the squad is coming together and obviously it is pleasing to lock in two quality international players who bring a lot to the group.”
