Melbourne Victory will celebrate their 10th season in the Westfield W-League with a fun-filled day of activities before and after their clash with old rivals Adelaide United at Lakeside Stadium this Saturday.
An inaugural member of the then eight-team competition, Victory are one of only five clubs to have enjoyed championship success in Australia’s top-flight.
The Big V will pay tribute to their history and interact with fans as players past and present take part in the festivities.
Signing sessions, interviews, giveaways, fan cams and more will make for plenty of family-friendly fun, while kids will also be treated to face painting and an inflatable pitch.
On the field, Jeff Hopkins’ side will be hoping to leapfrog the Reds back into top four contention with a win.
The club’s greatest Westfield W-League achievement to date arrived in 2013-14, when they came from third on the ladder to beat Brisbane Roar 2-0 in the Grand Final at Lakeside Stadium.
Saturday’s event is free entry for all Victory members, with gates to open at 3.00pm ahead of the scheduled 4.30pm kick-off.
