Melbourne Victory has confirmed that their all-time membership record has officially been broken with little over a week until the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season begins.
A total of 24,232 members have already signed up for season 2015/16, surpassing the record that was set just last season.
“On behalf of everyone associated with the club, I would like to thank each and every member for being Victory In Every Way this season,” Victory chairman Anthony Di Pietro said.
“We are incredibly proud and appreciative of the extraordinary contribution our members make to our club.
“The atmosphere and passion our members generate at our games is second to none and an inspiration to all of us.
“Despite achieving a new club record, we have not reached our membership target for this season, so I encourage all Melbourne Victory fans who are not members to join us for what promises to be our most exciting season yet.”
