Melbourne Victory will appeal against the nine-match suspension handed out to its Brazilian striker Ney Fabiano.
Ney Fabiano was found guilty of ‘Spitting at a Player’ by the Independent Disciplinary Committee after Melbourne’s match against Adelaide United last Friday night.
The Committee handed him an extra three-match ban on top of the five additional matches the match review panel had already given him.
But the club will now go to FFA on Friday and take the matter to the appeals committee. The appeal will be heard next week.
