Usain Bolt scored a brace in the Central Coast Mariners’ 4-0 friendly win over Macarthur South West United tonight.
Bolt was fielded up front alongside Mariners debutants Ross McCormack and Tommy Oar in what was billed as a make or break audition for his dream of securing a Hyundai A-League contract with the Gosford club.

The 32-year-old did his Hyundai A-League bid no harm and had Campbelltown Stadium on their feet when he lashed home a tidy left-footed finish early in the second half after being played through by McCormack.

An eventful night for the Jamaican was crowned when he capitalised on a horror Macarthur mix up at the back and fired into an empty net minutes before being substituted in the 75th minute to a rapturous reception.
Central Coast had earlier opened the scoring through McCormack’s diving header in the seventh minute and doubled the advantage shortly before half time through Jordan Murray’s strike.
