Premiership winners Newcastle Jets and second-placed Adelaide United are back in action this coming week having earned the week off whilst the Elimination Finals took place.
Premiership winners in their first season, Auckland FC defeated Melbourne City on penalties on Saturday to book a two-legged date with Adelaide United in the Semi-Finals.
Meanwhile Premiership winners Newcastle Jets will now face Sydney FC in a two legged Semi-Final after the Sky Blues triumphed over Melbourne Victory 1-0 in a Big Blue Elimination Final.

A-League Finals Format and Schedule
The 2026 Finals Series will follow last season’s format, beginning with two Elimination Finals.
The two Elimination Final winners will advance to a two-legged Semi-Final against the top two sides, with the winners qualifying for the Grand Final.
The Isuzu UTE A-League 2026 Finals Series kicks off on the weekend of 2nd – 3rd May with the Grand Final scheduled for the weekend of 23rd – 24th May.

Week 2: Semi Finals (Leg 1), 8-10 May
- Auckland FC v Adelaide United – 4pm AEST on Saturday 9 May at Go Media Stadium.
- Sydney FC v Newcastle Jets – 7:40pm AEST on Saturday 9 May at Allianz Stadium
Week 3: Semi Finals (Leg 2), 15-17 May
- Adelaide United v Auckland FC – 7.35pm AEST on Friday 15 May at Coopers Stadium.
