Sydney FC head coach Ufuk Talay has been named Coach of the Month in the Isuzu UTE A-League for the months of October/November.
The Sky Blues boss has taken out the first coaching honour of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season after guiding his team to top spot following a blistering start to the campaign.
Having missed out on playing finals football last season, Talay’s side responded in scintillating fashion this campaign to earn their coach the most votes of any of those nominated to take out the October/November award.

Talay was nominated for the October/November award via Football Coaches Australia’s monthly nomination process.
Australian Professional Leagues (APL) partnered with FCA in 2022-23 to help provide the recognition required for outstanding coaching performances across both the Ninja A-League and Isuzu UTE A-League.
The FCA assembled an experienced panel that decides the monthly nominees and then subsequent winners for Coach of the Month in both leagues.
The October/November eligibility period included Rounds 1-6 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season, with games between October 17 and November 30 considered by the FCA Panel when voting for the Coach of the Month nominees.
Talay oversaw six games in the eligibility period, including an impressive five wins and two losses which has his side sat on top of the ladder heading into Round 8.
